Online application for Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination 2023 has invited by JSSC from 15 January 2024 to 14 February 2024 for 4919 vacant seats. Notice issued for JCCE 2023 announced by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission in Advertisement No. 17/2023 dated 20-12-2023. Candidate applications have been invited for direct appointment to 4919 vacant posts of constable under Home Jail and Disaster Management Department, Government of Jharkhand. Interested applicants will submit their application 14 Feb 2023 till mid night through online only.
When JCCE 2023 Notice is released
Jharkhand staff selection Commission has released on 20th December a notice 17/23 about Jharkhand Combined Constable competitive Exam 2023. According to the notice published on the official website of JSSC, approximately 4919 vacant seats of constable will be filled in various districts and departments of Jharkhand.

What are the Date for applying application for Jharkhand Constable Competitive Exam 2023
The last date for applicants to apply is till 14th February 2024 midnight. The last date for applying, making payment is 16th February 2024 and uploading photo and signature is till 18th February 2024. The link to take the printout of the application form will be available only till 18 February midnight.
If any error has been made by the applicants while applying, the link will be provided again by the Commission for its correction from midnight of 20th February to 22nd February. Candidates will be able to modify any incorrect entry in their online application form except name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number.
what is the Age Limit Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination 2023
Minimum age limit of candidates for Jharkhand Reserve posts is 18 years and maximum age limit
25 years for unreserved economically weaker section,
27 years is maximum for OBC category and 28 years is Maximum age limit for women.
30 years is Maximum age limit for SC/ST ( Male and female) candidates .
The age limit for Jharkhand constable posts will be calculated on the basis of the following dates. The minimum age limit will be calculated from 01 AUG 2023 and the maximum age limit will be calculated from 1 Aug 2019.
Minimum educational and physical qualification for Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination 2023
Jharkhand Constable Examination 2023, students should have passed at least 10th class from a government recognized educational institution.
Minimum educational qualification for JCCE 2023
It will be mandatory for the candidates to have the minimum educational qualification of passing 10th class from any recognized educational institution till the last date of receipt of applications against the above-mentioned post.
Physical Measurement of Candidates
Minimum height should be 160 cm and chest should be 81 cm unreserved category, whereas for Scheduled Caste and Tribe category the minimum height should be 155 cm, minimum chest should be 79 cm. For women, height should be minimum 148 centimeters.
What is the Examination Fee for JCCE 2023
The examination fee for JSSC Constable Competitive Exam 2023 is ₹100.
The examination fee for SC-ST candidates of Jharkhand state has been fixed at ₹ 50. This fee exemption has been provided only to SC/ST local residents of Jharkhand. Examination fee will be non-refundable

According to Jharkhand Government’s letter no. 6855 dated 8/12/23, under the district level constable seats prescribed by the Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department.

The number of category wise vacancies may be revised in the light of the request of the concerned department. Before applying for the examination, candidates should ensure that they clearly fulfill all the requirements regarding eligibility for the post.
Examination Pattern
JCCE examination will be conducted in the following three stage pattern —
Physical Efficiency Test:
According to the provisions mentioned in Jharkhand State Police Appointment Rules 2014, physical efficiency test of the candidates will be taken in which it will be mandatory for the candidates to be successful. Physical efficiency test will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be given for it.
It will be mandatory for the candidates to cover the exam in 10 kilometers in 60 minutes for men and 5 kilometers in 30 minutes for women.
Medical Test
Candidates available in the merit list 3 times more than the number of category wise vacancies will be selected for scrutiny by reservation of the merit list.
If any decision is found wrong through medical examination, an appeal can be made to the Apex Medical Board. The list of qualified candidates in the medical examination will be made available to the Commission by the Medical Council.
Written Examination
OMR based written examination will be taken for the candidates successful in physical efficiency test and medical examination.
There will be two papers in the written examination, the duration of each paper will be 2 hours. Each question of both the papers will be of three marks each. candidate will be given three marks for the correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. All questions in both the papers will be based on objective and multiple choice answers.
- First paper will be of Knowledge of regional tribal language – It will be mandatory to obtain minimum 30% marks in first paper.
- Second paper will have two parts. Part 1 will be related to Hindi language. In which the number of questions will be 50. In Part 2, 25 questions will be related to General Knowledge and 25 questions will be related to Numerical Ability. The Examination duration will be of 2 hours and total number of marks will be of 300 marks. All questions will be based on objective and multiple-choice answers and the full marks of one question will be three marks. Three marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Important guidelines for filling the Online Application of JCCE 2023
Candidates can apply online as per the eligibility, educational qualification and prescribed age limit given in the information brochure issued by the Commission. Applicants will submit their application form only after logging in to the website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. Detailed information related to the application is available on the official website of the Commission www.jssc.nic.in.
Before filling the application form, students should download the advertisement and description and ensure that they are entering the information in the application form as per the conditions of the description.
- Before filling the application, the applicant should ensure that the certificate required for the application is available with him.
- Before filling application keep the scanned soft copy of your photo and complete signature with you.
- Candidate ‘s name, father’s name and other details should be correct in all the certificates, otherwise correct them before filling the application.
- Make sure that the spelling of your name will be the same as mentioned in the matriculation or 10th class certificate and mark sheet.
- Candidates will enter the same date, month and year of birth as mentioned in their matriculation certificate and marks sheet at the designated place given in their application form.
